The bioinert Scepter column has a PEEK-lined stainless steel body with a high pressure polymer frit for a completely metal-free flowpath. The organosilane hybrid particle with phenylbutyl ligand provides unique selectivity compared to a C8 or C18 due to pi-pi interactions between the analyte and stationary phase. The phenyl phase is recommended for the analysis of aromatic compounds, isomers and structural analogs, and can be used in 100% aqueous conditions. PLS hardware eliminates adsorption and reduces tailing for compounds that tend to form chelates with metal surfaces, especially those containing phosphate groups. USP L11, pore size: 120A, pH range: 1-10, max pressure: 45 MPa/450 bar/6,500 psi, 17% carbon load, fully endcapped. Phase is similar to XBridge BEH Phenyl and Gemini C6-Phenyl; PLS hardware is unique.
