The IBD phase has a polar-embedded alkyl ligand that acts as a strong hydrogen bonder and is very retentive and selective for acids. It also provides symmetrical peak shape for strong bases. It is compatible with 100% aqueous mobile phases and can be used under reversed-phase or HILIC conditions to retain very polar, ionic compounds in highly organic mobile phases. USP L68, pore size: 100A, surface area: 300 m2/g, 12% carbon load, non-endcapped. pH range 2.5-8.0, maximum temperature 80C.
